Cat Vs Girl

Every year a very talented artist called Harvey James sets up a challenge on his live journal account in which he draws several (around 40 to 60 i think) small wierd cats. The challenge is to pick a cat - and draw and girl

http://harveyjames.livejournal.com/164155.html

Recently i have been having a hard time thinking of projects for myself, hence the fuck-ton of old sketchbook posts and edge of the page doodles. But this thing, that i came accross by accident and was far far to late for the actual submissions date was fun and led to three drawings that i quite like. They need colour, but i am still to skint to buy a new box of watercolours so they will have to go without for now.

These are the cats i picked:

And these are the Girls:

(the reason for the arm gap is that i wanted to move them closer
together using photoshop, but i cant work out the bloody layers)

You can see all the amazing entried that made it in on time here:
and the rest of his Lj account here:

more sketchbook tat, fat lemurs and naked ladies and all that.

Slacker

Hello all, apologies about the lack of posts and the sketchy
nature of this post and the last. there are two main reasons:
1. i have been busy or ill for a while and now i am finally having some time of i am
spending most of it reading books and sleeping
2. i have somehow lost my watercolour set, this is not encouraging me to draw and
hopefully i will get a new set for Xmas.
Also it is winter and i think i might be part bear, all i want to do is hibernate,
and maybe eat Salmon...
Been reading allot of terry Pratchett - this being two characters from Equal Rites
Granny weatherwax and Eskerina
(i wish i had my paints as i would love to colour them....)

Doodles from my book of lists - whoop. thats all x

Future future

Apologies for the lack of posts in recent weeks - my life has gone from around 20 to 90mph, with lots of other confusing things thrown in. Much more work - still unpaid of course, but one is a feature which will be a first for me and I'm rather excited/nervous about it. Also got play, short and another NGC episode on the go at the same time, considering i was thinking about chucking the towel in for a bit in terms of costume a few weeks ago this is pretty cool/terrifying and i'm feeling like i can handle it/will fail and die in a pool of shame (i flip between these two sets of feelings so often i wasn't sure what to write) In other news my sister moved home after uni, I started boxing lessons and my first ever exercise routine, had a lovely birthday with lovely gifts and lovely friends, started to let my hair grow out, bought a Joe Strummer t-shirt from eBay, learnt how to make amazing biscuits, made some new friends who live far away, reading four books at the same time (ADD brain), added a butt-load of music to my library and... finally finished the bunny film! after the main block of filming me, Matt, Leonie and Patt went back to the sight and filmed the close ups of the death mask and dying breaths of the giant man/bunny thing... photos of fun times below (some by me better ones by Leonie)

Matt and camera vs clay hill of crumblyness

Patt and his creation

Leonie and her crosswords

myself and mr bunny (also this above looks like that below)

Bye for now.
